In depth analysis of three music videos in our genre

Our song (Night Riots- Remedy) is categorised under Indie/Rock genre. However, our song isn't very well known therefore, I will be listing three other popular Indie/Rock songs from three different famous Indie/Rock bands.

1 ) Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire

Kings Of Leon are well-known rock band which have produced some very successful songs such as 'Sex On Fire' and 'Use Somebody'. This song illustrates the performance element which relates to our song/music video. In this music video, the performance factor is displayed by the band being together during the majority of the video. There is no stage however, the band are seen playing their instruments together in a isolated scene. The band are positioned in front of a dark background whilst having some light reflected upon them, which reflects upon the performance element in the music video.

2) Foo Fighters - The Pretender

Foo Fighters are another famous rock band that have produced some well-known, popular rock songs such as 'The Pretender' and 'All My Life'. This song also portrays the performance element that is key for our music video. During the majority of this video, the same background, the same positioning of the band members and the same setting is used. The whole video is based around performance and focuses on the strength of the band. The band is shown in front of a red background in a warehouse which has bright floors and dark walls.

3) 30 Seconds To Mars - The Kill

30 Seconds To Mars are another significant rock band that relate to our music video genre. They have produced some lucrative, prosperous songs such as 'The Kill' and 'From Yesterday'. This song in particular focuses on the narrative element which is the other key factor that relates to our music video genre. During the video, the band are seen entering a lost, forgotten hotel, in which the band members see clones of themselves which is shown in the image above. During the video some of the band members die and therefore, reflects upon the songs title 'The Kill'. The majority of this video is based around the narrative element.
